Privacy.
What we collect when you book a table or write to us, why we keep it, and how to make us delete it.
What we collect
When you send a booking request, we ask for your name, phone number, and optionally an email address, along with the date, time, party size, and anything you tell us about the occasion.
If you write to us about a private hire, we keep the correspondence so the person handling your event can pick up where the last conversation left off.
- Booking details: name, phone, email, date, party size, seating preference, notes.
- Event enquiries: whatever you include in your message to us.
- Counter transactions: handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see or store card numbers.
Why we keep it
Only to run the café. We use your phone number to confirm or reschedule a booking, your notes to seat you sensibly and cook around an allergy, and your email to send an events deck if you asked for one.
We do not sell your details, rent them, or hand them to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Booking records are cleared ninety days after the visit. Event correspondence is kept for one year after the event so we can help if you come back. Anything else is deleted once it has served its purpose.
Marketing
We only send email if you have asked us to, and every message carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Asking to leave the list is not a decision we will try to talk you out of.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies to remember your preferences between visits. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party profiling scripts. If we add analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting service that does not follow you across other websites.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you exactly what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your records, unless we are legally required to keep them.
- Stop contacting you.
Sharing
The only outside parties who touch your data are the payment processor that handles counter transactions and the email service that delivers our newsletter. Both are bound by their own contractual obligations, and neither receives more than they need to do the job.
